Community and Citizenship

This year, as part of our work on citizenship, each class has adopted a charity to support. Over the course of the year, children will learn about the work of their chosen charity. They will also support their charity by raising money and campaigning.

Class Charities 2021-2022

We will update our class charities shortly.

Eco-Warriers

This year we have begun to participate in the Eco-Schools initiative and hope to become a Green School by the end of the year. As part of this, Mrs Sands leads a group of ‘Eco-Warriors’! Our Eco-Warrior group is made up of representatives of each Key Stage Two class and meet at least once every half term. The Eco-Warriors lead on making our school a more eco-friendly place and remind all children and staff of how to support us to be more global citizens. We have chosen to focus on reducing our electricity use, saving water and recycling paper and every lunchtime a member of the eco group checks that each classroom is following the guidance we have outlined. The Eco-Warriors do a very important job and remind us all that we need to take care of our environment and do all we can to protect our world for the future.
