Headteacher’s Message

Welcome to Shotton Hall Primary School Website.

Situated in East Durham close to the Castle Eden Nature reserve Shotton Hall Primary School is a vibrant, happy and caring school with a proud record of academic achievement.

All decisions that we make are based on benefiting our children. Our aim is to provide all children with the opportunity to embrace new challenges in an atmosphere of supportive encouragement. Our goal is for every child to be the best they can be through our mission statement ‘SHINE’.

All staff are fully committed to providing high quality teaching and learning, with a strong ethos of Nurture and support for all.

We place great emphasis on excellent standards of behaviour and courtesy whilst encouraging the development of confidence, integrity, resilience and team-work through providing a wealth of cultural, sporting and cross-curricular activities.

We always go ‘above and beyond’ to create a fantastic learning environment. Our team are committed to developing learning with a connected thread that flows into every aspect of a broad and balanced curriculum. There are no barriers to learning at our school – anything is possible for our children!

If you have any questions regarding Shotton Hall Primary School, then please don’t hesitate to contact us or arrange a visit via our school office.
