Pupil Premium 2015-2016

Pupil Premium Allocation for 2015-6  – £162.360

Pupils eligible- 123 36.4% of all pupils.

Teaching assistant salaries contribution to ensure all classes work in a teacher/assistant partnership and jointly meet the learning needs of disadvantaged pupils£115,000 (rounded) All TAs support identified disadvantaged pupils to fully engage in learning within a whole class setting through a teacher and assistant partnership.
TAs deliver intervention programmes and pre teaching to narrow gaps in learning.
Gap between disadvantaged and non disadvantaged pupils narrows in reading, writing, EGPS and maths as a result of disadvantaged pupils attaining better even though other pupils may also attain better.

-Gap narrowing to be broadly in line with national by eo KS1
KS1 R, W, M - APS gap will be 0.8 or less (was 1.3 in 2015)

EGPS gap reduced by
Y1- 21%, Y2- 12%,
Based on assessment point 2 internal data.

-KS2 Reading gap L4b+ (secure eoy 6) will be 5 and others will not decline ( was 7)
KS2 writing gap L4 (secure eoy 6) will be 13 in line with NA ( was 17.6) with other remaining above NA
KS2 maths gap L4b+ (secure eoy 6) will be 16 in line with NA ( was 26.4)

KS2 EGPS Y3- 8% , Y5- 9%
Y6 -11% all to be in line with NA gap
Y4 maintain +17% gap.
Behaviour, Attendance and Safeguarding officer salary (BASO)
( widened remit to include safeguarding from September 2015)
£24,000 ( rounded) -Identify disadvantaged pupils at risk of non attendance and work with families/carers to ensure pupils are in school every day possible and on time.
-Work with staff and outside agencies to identify pupils with behaviour issues and support them to remain in class and access learning appropriately.
-Identify pupils who have a welfare need and collaborate with outside agencies to ensure their needs are met and they can access learning.
-Ensure all pupils are safe and well cared for.
Overall attendance shows an increase on 2015 by July 2016 and is at least in line with NA

- persistent absence declines further or is maintained at 1.6 below NA of 2.7
-Tracking sheets show a continued decline in disruptive behaviours of identified pupils.
-exclusions reduce in line with NA figure of 0.49 in 2014.
-No permanent exclusion are made
-Pupils remain in the class setting and are supported to achieve in line with their peers.
- Pupils identified with specific learning needs are supported well by outside agencies.

-pupils engage in experiences that they otherwise would not have.
-pupils develop an awareness and experience of the wider world and understand their place in it.
- pupils are inspired to be ambitious for their futures and understand they can achieve with commitment and perseverance.
-Pupils experience broad and high quality learning linked to their curriculum. This experience impacts on their achievement in reading, writing ,EGPS and maths. (see above)
-Pupils are motivated to write effectively at length and independently with interesting subject matter
- pupils develop effective communication skills which impact on their overall learning skills
Pupils develop behaviour for learning: resilience, reciprocity, reflectiveness, respect and resourcefulness.
- pupils develop personally in Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural awareness.
Collapsed curriculum special weeks funding contribution:
world book week, science week, maths week, anti bullying, LGBT, faith , global learning, e safety, RRSA, British Values.
£2,000 Specialist providers bring wider knowledge and experience to the school to support themed learningPupil’s learning experience is enhanced by visitors contributions to special events weeks.
Pupils develop social and emotional skills and consider wider moral issues. Pupils develop confidence to make judgements on a range of issues and justify their views.
Subsidy of salary and equipment for breakfast club and after school club£1,000Both clubs offer an excellent and bespoke provision for pupils where they can play, relax and learn with experienced leaders.A greater number of disadvantaged pupils take up the offer of free breakfast club and attendance and attitudes to learning improves.
-Pupils have a safe and positive experience before and after school.
-Pupils play and learn well and are supported in their homework needs.
-Pupils have a good model of speech and language and behaviour presented to them and respond accordingly.
-Pupils learn how to co operate and play well.
