Old Class 3S

Welcome to Class 3S. We are a Year Two class. Our teachers are Mrs. Sands and Mrs. Henry. Mrs. Hanley and Mrs. Caden also work with us. We are very friendly, funny and hard working and we always try our best!

This year our topics are:

Autumn Term – Castles and Celebrations. We will be researching castles, reading books about them and even going on a visit to Raby Castle! We will also take part in our very own medieval banquet!

In the second half term, we will look at celebrations including Bonfire Night, Diwali and Christmas. We will visit a Hindu Temple, make our own diva lamps and celebrate Christmas with our nativity.

Spring Term- Famous Folk. We will learn all about famous people from our past including Florence Nightingale and George Stephenson, and think about how those people changed lives for people today. We will also be looking at more modern famous people such as Tim Berners Lee and thinking about the impact they have had on our lives.

Summer Term- The Living World. We will look closely at plants, animals and habitats and will write our own reports on living things. We will be spending time outside looking at the creatures that live in our environment and thinking about how where we live is different to other countries.
